The Golden Ticket: Celery Juice

Celery juice.  It’s trending right now.  Everyone seems to be drinking and swearing by it, but why?  While celery might seem like a bland, boring food, it is quite the opposite.

When it comes to celery, think electrolytes.  It hydrates the body on a deep cellular level, offering relief from many symptoms and conditions ranging from migraines, to acne, to eczema and leaky gut...  Research shows that celery is one of the most powerful anti-inflammatory foods because it starves unproductive bacteria, yeast, mold, fungus, and viruses present in the body, flushing out their toxins from the intestinal tract and liver.  It also helps good bacteria thrive and this is just the start!  The benefits that celery offers are truly incredible.  

I have been drinking celery juice consistently for the last few months.  Anthony Williams, the “Medical Medium,” started the celery “movement” years ago.  He boasts the many healing properties of celery juice, and I have definitely benefited by adding it to my daily routine.  It has helped me with bloating, clearer skin, I feel way less inflamed, and I have seen a significant increase in my energy throughout the day.

You may be intrigued, but also wondering how one is able to drink 16oz of pure celery juice.  I personally love the refreshing taste, but definitely wasn’t always like this.  It tastes like watered down celery- but gets better!  At least for me it did.  I now wake up and crave celery juice- NOT kidding.

So I convinced you to give it a try - AMAZING!  But how does one start making and drinking celery juice?  It is quite simple!  And inexpensive I may add.  Williams suggests that to gain the most benefits, you should drink 16-32oz of celery juice upon waking, 15-30 min before consuming anything else.  If this is too much, start with 8oz- baby steps!

To make celery juice itself you need a blender or juicer (I use a Ninja Bullet), a nut milk bag to strain (if using a blender), celery (one large bunch), and water.  After blending the celery and water, you strain it with the nut milk bag, which separates the juice from the pulp.  The juice is what you want to keep and drink ☺.  I pre-cut a bunch of celery and store it in my fridge so that it is easy to throw in the blender and make every day.  

I believe that celery juice really is the golden ticket toward living and feeling healthier- if you choose to go about all other things in your life in the most unhealthy way, but drink celery juice on a daily basis, you are taking (arguably) one of the best steps towards healing and living a healthier life.
