We can’t wait for you all to get to know our two very special marketing interns, Spencer and Caroline. They wowed us right from the get go and have been making this summer all kinds of fun. They are creative, enthusiastic, and the most perfect duo. Read on to get to know them!
HOW DID YOU FIND FLY FEET AND WHAT HAS YOUR EXPERIENCE HERE BEEN LIKE?
Spencer: I found out about Fly Feet from my sister Kaila who had already been a flyer for awhile. I went to a couple classes with her and loved every aspect of it. It was also through her that I met Laura and found out about the marketing internship opportunity and was able to join the Fly Feet team.
Caroline: Long story short, I had to get a physical for a game show and I went to see my godmother, Katie Schaefer! Katie and her family have been active Fly Feet members for a year or so. She informed me how insanely awesome Fly Feet is and that the incredible people who run the show were looking for a summer intern! It was too good to be true. I've loved the energy and passion that everyone brings to the team, not to mention the great workouts...They really know how to make you break a sweat & build camaraderie!
WHAT WOULD YOUR PERFECT ROOM LOOK LIKE?
S: My perfect room would have a large TV in it so I could binge all my favorite shows, be filled with some colorful light fixtures and have my cat and dogs in it. It would also have all my favorite snacks available for prime TV or movie watching.
C: This is tricky, but I’d have to say some type of porch or deck that looks out over a lake with a perfect view of the sunset. It’d be surrounded by trees, have a wood burning fireplace and a nice lil spot for a swinging hammock.
IF YOU COULD BE ANY SAUCE/CONDIMENT WHAT WOULD YOU BE?
S: If I was a sauce I would be one made from the Carolina Reaper, the hottest pepper out there (yes, I just googled the hottest peppers in the world), because I’d be too hot for most people and make them cry.
C: Three words— Frank’s. Hot. Sauce.
YOU HAVE A PERSONAL CHEF MAKING YOU A 3 COURSE MEAL. WHAT DOES IT ENTAIL?
S: App- Spinach and artichoke dip. Main- Fried chicken and waffles. Dessert- Crave’s s’more brownie!
C: App- fresh bruschetta or caprese salad. Main- surf n’ turf (love me some lobster) with a side of green beans and a baked potato. Dessert- anything s’mores related!
IF YOU COULD BE FAMOUS FOR ONE THING WHAT WOULD IT BE?
S: I would be a great groupie! Does that count?
C: Being Ellen Degeneres’ best friend!
FLY FEET GOES INTERNATIONAL. WHERE WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO GO?
S: I agree with Caroline and Australia would be amazing, I’m envisioning doing some classes with Kangaroo’s… maybe that could be the next goat yoga!
C: Australia, 110%.
IF YOU HOSTED A TALK SHOW, WHO WOULD BE YOUR FIRST GUEST?
S: Timothee Chalamet, because he’s amazing obviously, but he’s also always more awkward than the hosts and I’m a very awkward person so it would be a perfect match.
C: My first guest would come as a pair— Sophie Turner & Maisie Williams, hands down. I’m a big GOT (Game of Thrones) fan and for those who don’t know they play two of the main characters. They’re best friends in real life and are absolutely hilarious. I would love to hang out with them!
WHO HAS BEEN THE MOST INSPIRATIONAL/INFLUENTIAL PERSON IN YOUR LIFE SO FAR?
S: My parents have definitely been the most inspirational people in my life. They have taught me to be passionate about things and not be afraid of failure because that’s where growth comes from. They’ve always taught me to go after my dreams and give the world all I have to offer while also spreading love and positivity.
C: I adore and completely look up to my parents. They’ve always been such strong and inspirational people, and it really shined through when mom was diagnosed with ovarian and endometrial cancer three years ago (she’s doing great now and kicked cancer’s a$$!!). They tackle every mountain and valley life throws at them with such grace and courage. My mom and dad remind me everyday that life is a blessing and to always be kind to everyone :)
IF YOU COULD PARTICIPATE IN ONE SPORT IN THE OLYMPICS, WHICH WOULD IT BE?
S: Definitely gymnastics, the 2012 and 2016 women’s U.S gymnastics teams are my queens.
C: Gymnastics for sure. I was Carly Patterson for Halloween in ‘04. So Spencer, looks like we’re in the same boat. We better start training for Tokyo 2020.
IF YOU COULD TURN ANY ACTIVITY INTO AN OLYMPIC SPORT, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE A GOOD CHANCE AT WINNING A MEDAL FOR?
S: I have a feeling that I could slay in a lip sync battle for the olympic gold, some people may be able to dance and do more tricks but I think I could figure out some stunts and kill it!
C: I’m sure a lot of people can relate to this...which is going to Target for one item, literally just one item, yet managing to leave with an entire cart full of items. I could quite possibly take home the gold.
FAVORITE STATE FAIR FOOD?
S: Probably the pronto or deep fried candy bars
C: Mini donuts, cold glass of milk, sweet Martha’s cookies, fried pickles, fresh french fries, and sweet corn...You can’t just pick one favorite fair food.
WHAT’S YOUR GO TO KARAOKE SONG?
S: Mamma Mia or anything else by ABBA
C: I’m a Believer by The Monkees
