She’s the girl with lightening speed and superwoman strength, but more importantly the quickest smile and never-ending drive towards her goals! We love Coach Carlie from the inside out. Get to know what makes Carlie who she is from food and family to pups and passion!
Tell us about how you found Fly Feet and your first impressions after taking your very first class in the studio.
One of my roommates first introduced me to Fly Feet. The first workout I did was probably one of the most mentally and physically challenging workouts I’ve ever done, but I absolutely loved it. The coaches and staff were so encouraging and welcoming. I’ve been hooked ever since ☺
You are a senior with one semester of school left (#soexciting), what is your major and what are your post-college plans?
My major is Nutrition/Dietetics. I plan to be a registered dietitian so I am currently applying for dietetic internships that will last around a year. During my internship, I’ll spend time working in the clinical, community, food service, long term care, and sports nutrition setting. After that, I will be eligible to complete the exam to be an RD and hopefully will work as a sports dietitian.
What has been your favorite part of being a Golden Gopher?
My favorite part is being in a big city. I absolutely love the people I’ve met and all there is to do here. Also, it’s a very short commute to Fly Feet so that’s a plus. ☺
Who has been the most inspirational/influential person in your life so far?
My parents for sure! They are the hardest working people I know and have always supported me in everything that I do. They are honestly my best friends!
You have been known to reach and hold amazingly fast speeds on the treadmill. If you could participate in one sport in the Olympics, which would it be?
Soccer for sure! (Basketball is a close second)
What irrational fear do you have?
Running out of coffee ☺
Tell us about the most delicious food you’ve every eaten.
Sweet Martha’s chocolate chip cookies from the state fair. Calories don’t count when it comes to those.
If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
A dog because they are my obsession.
What’s one fact most people don’t know about you?
I have a twin sister named Annie. She played division 1 soccer and is probably the best athlete/human that I know.
What do you love most about being a FFR coach?
EVERYTHING. The people I’ve met at Fly Feet are honestly the most genuine and supportive people I’ve met in my life. It brings me joy seeing everyone in the studio supporting each other and crushing it every day. Also, meeting so many people with similar goals and passions!
