Race Training Plan

How will training with Fly Feet lead you to your best race experience?

High intensity intervals, strength training, and outdoor running. High intensity intervals will impact your training by incorporating speed intervals, recruiting more motor neurons, and developing fast-twitch fibers. Strength training will help you build muscular endurance to keep your body healthy as you cover longer distances at faster paces. Lastly, we get outside and run together with the Run Club Outdoor workouts and long runs designed to build up our stamina and mental tenacity.

5k / 10k Training Plans

Beginner

The beginner plan is right for you if you...
are new to running,
never run a 5k/10k before,
capable of training at Fly Feet 3x per week.

The intermediate plan is right for you if you...
have some experience with running,
have run 3 miles before,
capable of training at Fly Feet 3x per week.

have completed a 5k before,
looking to PR,
capable of training 6x per week.

Half Marathon Training Plans

Beginner

The beginner plan is right for you if you...
have never run a half marathon,
are able to train at Fly Feet 3x per week,
and are capable of training 4-5x per week.

The intermediate plan is right for you if you...
have raced a distance of 6+ miles,
are able to train at Fly Feet 3x per week
and are capable of training 5-6x per week.

have completed a half marathon before,

currently trains at FFR 2-3x per week,
capable of training 6x per week.
