Scaling Movement

As you go through a workout, it’s easy to caught up in the intensity and forget about moving well and proper form.  But that is so critical to prevent injury and maximize longevity.  We think about fitness in a very broad time domain - - we all want to still be swinging a kettle bell and doing our 1 minute sprints when we’re 85!  And we CAN if we move well.  It has to be a daily focus in our workout.

When we get tired and fatigued, we should scale back the movement if our form starts to suffer.  That means, when we can’t hold our midline in our strict push ups, we scale down to a kipping push up.  Remember:  Practice doesn’t make perfect.  Perfect practice makes perfect.  Especially when it comes to how we move.  Watch Aaron and Laura to learn more.
